Run Sarah Run!

Sarah Palin swept the country by storm during the 2008 election campaign. So much so that it caused John McCain to have to turn on her midway though the election. This, and TARP (Troubled Asset Recovery Program) ultimately sunk his presidential chances.
But I have to ask, is Sarah Palin ready to be president? She is better looking than Hillary, but that isn’t saying much. Even I would have to admit Clinton would shred her in a debate. So what would it take for you to vote for Palin?
Personally, I do not think she is good under pressure. Anyone that gets trapped by Katie Couric, really? She was great in the debate with Joe Biden, but that was after two weeks of preparation and spoon feeding. Is it ok for a politician to say “I don’t know”, or should they give the long slow political non-answer we have all grown to know and love. How is someone so easily trapped by a left wing hack like Katie Couric going to stand up to a room full of world leaders in the United Nations, all of which hate us and want to exploit the United States weaknesses at every opportunity. I say, give me the political non-answer. At least this is a sign of a quick mind which will work whether you have the correct answer or not.
Ken Jennings, the only person to win at the game show Jeopardy 10 straight times (they had to kick him off the show) was asked, “What does it take to win at Jeopardy?” His answer was a quick mind. He believed everyone has the answers, but if you can’t recall the answer in five seconds or less it doesn’t matter, does it? Is he right?
Sarah Palin has the knowledge, character, and leadership personality to be President of the United States of America. What she doesn’t have is the political savvy and the quick mind under pressure. So what should she do? Read! History repeats itself. “Those that do not pay attention to history are doomed to repeat it.” “Knowledge is power.” Blah, Blah, Blah. She needs to be able to go on the attack. Does anyone remember Condoleezza Rice testifying in front of the 911 committee? She was on the defense for two straight days and more than held her own. Her knowledge was like a suit of armor.
The ability to run this country has nothing to do with how well you handle the press, but getting elected (especially if you are a Republican) does. Once you are elected; you will then be judged by achievements over substance. President Obama said nothing better than anyone I have ever seen. Now that the people realize “hope” and “change” are just words, his speeches have been reduced to what can only be described as college pep rallies.
Sarah Palin’s guard is up 24/7 and it’s no secret. If Sarah Palin can learn how to handle the press and feed her brain, the sky is the limit.
After that… run Sarah run!
